For Industry and Individuals
Blacksmith training is for individuals who want to learn a few basic techniques or an organization wanting to upgrade their employees’ in-house industry skills.
I can customize a workshop to suit your needs.
Whether it’s fabricating, blacksmithing, welding, tempering, metallurgy, punching, etc., we’ll create a project appropriate for your level of expertise.
Training content is based on our conversations about your training requirements.
You may want to create an artistic object or a tool for practical use.
Anything is possible.
Together we’ll figure out the right approach for you.
After 22 years teaching students at UBC’s Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, I can teach and adapt the training for the individual or company.
If your business needs employees trained or their skills upgraded, I will meet with you to evaluate the situation and develop a flexible and workable program.
Once we determine the content, I will present a quote for your approval.
I deliver training on the industry site when the business has the equipment and space for teaching.
My shop can accommodate 2 people at a time for specialized personal attention and training.
Contact me to schedule a conversation or a visit to your site.
We begin a safety orientation whether you are a beginner or not so that our time together is a good experience for all of us.
For safety reasons, you will need appropriate footwear.
I provide everything else at my studio.
I am insured to teach individuals for workshops up to a maximum of 2 people at a time in my shop.
The fee for private or semi-private classes is $120 per hour per student and does not include materials or consumables, which are additional costs.

You can also attach a photo of your project if you already have one and attach it to a text message.
